How to use Renapur Leather Balsam
Follow these three simple steps to get the most from your Renapur Leather Balsam:
- Dip the application sponge into the pot of balsam, then wipe the sponge over the edge of the pot to remove any excess. If you can see Renapur Balsam on the sponge you are using too much - you can always add more if necessary.
- For light dirt and grime there is no need to use Renapur Cleaner. Gently work the treated sponge over the leather article - the Balsam will quickly absorb into the leather. There is no need to buff.
- If you have applied too much Leather Balsam simply wipe off the excess with a soft clean cloth.
How to use Renapur Suede and Fabric Protector
- Ensure the surface is clean and free of dust, dirt, grease or any cleaner residue.
- Spray evenly over the surface until the surface is quite damp.
- Allow to dry. Dries in 24 hours. Drying can be accelerated by use of a hair dryer. Only one application required.
Can I use this on my old suede/sheepskin footwear?
Yes you can but they must be clean of dirt, grease and dust and free of any cleaner residues. It is always better to apply to new items to protect and lengthen their life.

Always test product on a small unseen area.

How long will protection last?
Typically up to two years but a hard worn pair of shoes for example might need to be re-treated after one year.
Please note that many water repellent sprays on the market need to be re-applied several times a year to retain effectiveness.
Washability: Renapur Protector is resistant against cleaning agents and very robust against abrasion during the washing process in washing machines. To retain the longest possible protection it is best to hand wash.
Warning
Renapur Leather Balsam, Leather Cleaner and Hi-Shine are for use on finished i.e. smooth leather only. Do not use on suede, nubuck or fully aniline type leather.
Renapur may darken some types of leather, especially if it has faded over time and with wear. If in doubt, always test on a small concealed area first.
